Exchange program in the fields of Architecture and Urban Planning
1st Call for application
Having verified the mutual interest the University of Firenze (Italy) and J. Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (India) share in establishing this exchange program in the fields of Architecture and Urban Planning.
The aim of this Program is to create a common base to cooperate in contemporary design issues, applying in cutting edge methodologies and tools. Sustainablity focus throughout the full lifecycle of a construction project can be a challenging design exercise both for European and Indian students as well.
Courses and studies involved in the Program use methodologies and tools that facilitate carbon assessment of a building, by improving project information and making designers more aware on their decisions, by allowing them to explore alternatives and evaluate the impact of their technical solutions throughout the building life-cycle. These methods will lead to zero-carbon and low-impact building and green real estate by combining compliance checking for energy performance with carbon embodiment and building and urban modeling data.
The present call for application is aimed towards under graduated, graduated and doctorate students is directed to:
Green Architecture
Green Real Estate
The topics are applied to:
– the following building markets: housing, schools, passenger transport terminals
– the following urban scenarios: ubiquitous cities, aerotropolis, existent settlements requalification and utilities inpowerment

Didactical facilities and tutorial services are available for applicants.
Only National Tax of registration of 14,00 euros are due in Italy; (amount to be confirmed) in India.
No registration or other fee will be imposed.
